BEST BROW POMADES – RANKING. WHICH ONE DO I RECOMMEND MOST?

Posted In: Cosmetic Tests

Are brows the most important feature of your makeup too? In my case, good makeup ends with precise brow definition, and I like my arches to be bolder and a bit more emphasized. Indeed, properly defined brows improve the features. Brow pomade is my latest discovery when it comes to brow makeup. It’s a truly unique product with a consistency resembling butter or… shoe polish! 🙂 It is reliable when I create bolder looks or when I just want to gently define my brows. Wondering what is the best brow pomade out there? Today I’ll tell you about my favorite pomades, here’s my subjective ranking of the TOP 4 brow pomades!

Best brow pomade: how did I determine the winner?

Which brow pomade fills in the brows best, gives the best effects, is long-wearing, and generally flawless? How did I choose the best ones? BEST BROW POMADES – MY TOP PICKS. WHICH ONES DO I RECOMMEND?

NANOBROW EYEBROW POMADE – THE BEST BROW POMADE IN EVERY WAY

Size: 6g.

Available shades: it comes in 3 lovely, natural-looking shades with good pigmentation that suit all complexions.

I believe the best brow pomade available nowadays is Nanobrow Eyebrow Pomade. Have you heard about it yet? The Nanobrow brand creates great brow styling and care products, I love it! Every Nanobrow product I have bought so far has proved sensational. For those who’d like to get more info about the brand, and the products, here’s a link to the official brand’s website: www.nanobrow.us.

Girls! I just loved the formula that feels soft as butter and very pleasant. Brow makeup done with this pomade is always a source of fun for me: everything goes smoothly and the effects look great every time!

It’s also impossible not to mention the fabulous price, for such high quality and performance. This brow pomade is very well-pigmented. It’s also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, and super long-wear: you can do a full body workout and your brows will stay flawless! Proven! 🙂

It works great for filling in the brows, creating their outline, and even drawing hair-like strokes to camouflage sparse areas. I am sure this will be your fave brow pomade too!

KVD BEAUTY 24-HOUR SUPER BROW POMADE

Size: 5g.

Available shades: it comes in 16 shades, although some of them won’t work on your brows as they’re quite unusual like blue, green, red, etc.

Apparently, there is an online dispute online whether who should be titled the real makeup queen: Kat Von D or Anastasia BH? In my opinion, they both create excellent products and have distinctive styles, and their products are really of great quality. I gave my heart to Kat Von D, as she is more unconventional, breaks stereotypes, and thinks outside the box. The pomade she launched is truly a masterpiece and was my fave brow pomade for a long time. I would never part with it, but unfortunately, it ruined my wallet with its criminally high price, but made my brows look perfect, which was priceless! Fortunately, I came across the Nanobrow pomade. Now I can only buy KVD pomade if I fancy trying, for example, an unusual and crazy green shade 😀 In fact, these colors, which normally have nothing to do with brows, work great as eyeliners or lip liners, and pretty cool eyeshadows for the trendy vinyl look. This brow pomade is more like a creamy gel. For me, this formula worked ok, but some people claim the effects it delivers aren’t bold enough. A matter of different preferences, of course.

ANASTASIA BH DIPBROW POMADE

Size: unfortunately, you only get 4g.

Available shades: 11 shades, and no weird ones like with KVD’s; it might be hard to choose one for yourself from so many.

As I mentioned earlier, Anastasia is such a highly renowned brand, so my ranking wouldn’t be complete without the Dipbrow Pomade. Especially since my opinion of it is very high: it’s a really decent brow pomade. You’ll like its creamy and quick-drying formula, although people with not much experience with brow pomades might panic a bit that they have to rush and fill in their brows perfectly as once the pomade dries it’s basically impossible to do any touch-ups. The long-wearing formula is great, I have nothing to complain about and I’m not surprised that for many this is the most recommended brow pomade. Of course, in this case, the high price is a big downside.

BENEFIT POWMADE EYEBROW POMADE

Size: 5g.

Available shades: 8 pretty good shades

POWmade is a frequently recommended brow pomade, but is it the best? Of course, the Benefit brand for many is an absolute champion. I also like it a lot, not only for the design but also for the quality, although in my opinion, the brand’s products could be a bit cheaper. The good thing is that you can often find them on special offers in many drugstores. But let’s get to the point. Why is this not the best brow pomade for me? All in all, there’s not much to complain about here: it’s long-wearing, well pigmented, and comes in many shades… but when it comes to the available shades, in my opinion, Benefit didn’t do such a great job. Only a few of the 8 shades are worth considering, the others somehow don’t work for me: they look unnatural and don’t all apply as smoothly as others. I think Benefit could have refined them a bit more, but overall, this is a really good brow pomade and definitely one of the best ones on the beauty market.

That’s all the best brow pomades in my ranking, but before I say bye, a small piece of advice at the end because you often complain your brow pomade dried out and became hard with bad consistency making the application impossible… so…

How to revive your dried-out pomade?

The best thing to do here is to equip yourself with a special transparent emulsion for diluting dried-out cosmetics (not only pomades), called duraline. It is made by several beauty brands, so you can quickly google it, and choose the best one for yourself. For the future, you should keep in mind not to keep the pomade open for a long time to prevent moisture loss and the pomade quickly turns into a crust. It’s better to scoop out a bit of the pomade (the size of pepper corn) on the top of your hand before you start doing your brow makeup not to keep the jar opened for long.

Many people also have trouble choosing the right shades of the pomade, especially from brands like KVD or Anastasia, which have a dozen or more available shades. What to do then? How to choose the best shade of your brow pomade?

How to choose the right shade of brow pomade?

Dear readers, in this regard, the rule always applies that your brows shouldn’t be darker than your hair, especially when it comes to brunettes and gray-haired women. Therefore, always choose a color similar to your hair or a shade lighter to maintain a natural look.

If you choose a shade that’s too dark it makes your features look sharper, and add years to your look unnecessarily. But if, for example, you have bought a darker pomade by accident, don’t throw it away: the darker color can certainly come in handy for creating ombre brows with a soft shading technique. Simply fill in the tail with the darker shade gradually blending the color while working your way toward the inner brow edge. You will see how great your brow makeup can look!

I like using a transparent brow gel as a finishing touch to my makeup done with the pomade. This nicely defines individual brow hairs and makes the makeup even more three-dimensional. Make sure to try this trick, you won’t regret it!

That’s it for today! Good luck with doing your brow makeup with a pomade! Let me know what you think is the best brow pomade out there. Bye for now!
